BREAKING NEWS!!!

Creativity in Motion hosted its Fall Weekend Dance Intensive October 21st-23rd, 2016. We had the great pleasure of welcoming and working with Sabatino Verlezza as Guest Artist/Instructor once again! The event was a terrific success, with our Students, Peer Buddies, and Interns taking part in a total of nine classes offered on Friday and Saturday. Our time together culminated in an informal studio showing and reception on Sunday, in which family and friends could get a glimpse of what was taught and learned, as well as celebrate the dancers' achievements.

Creativity In Motion Receives Triangle Access Award for 'Universal Access'!

Triangle Access Award Triangle Access Award Triangle Access Award

Creativity in Motion received the honor of a Triangle Access Award on July 21, 2015 at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh. Co-hosted by Alliance of Disability Advocates and the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, the event was held in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law on July 26, 1990. The Triangle Access Awards were created to honor individuals, businesses and organizations in the Triangle area whose awareness and actions have created accessibility and inclusion in the community for people of all ages and abilities. Recipients of the Triangle Access Awards have demonstrated outstanding achievements in removing barriers in the community.

These awards honor individuals, businesses, and organizations in the following categories: removing architectural barriers, removing communication or sensory barriers, removing attitudinal barriers, implementing technology, and creating all-around universal access by removing barriers in a combination of the previous categories.

Creativity in Motion received one of three awards given in the category of Universal Access! Director Jennifer Pegram accepted this recognition with a grateful heart. What a great way to kickoff our fourth season of dance!
